PURPLE HAZE

news of a purple heron in the valley yesterday was a welcome relief,butterflys are just not my thing so having this turn up gave us something to try and refind, after meeting martyn at the gate this morning we wandered down to harrison drove stopping and chatting to steve the crow man and then we spotted the purple heron sitting in top of a bush.

gave a quick view than out of sight but lucky for us it gave great views later on for the valley mob that had turned up for this my 2nd purple in the valley and adam 1st so a great morning had by all

nice to see mr parker again remember phil the valley is only down the road lol

CRAZY CRAZY WEATHER

what a mix bag of weather over the last few weeks and sod all to see highlights of my weekend was not many,finding 20 heath fritillarys away from east blean was great,also having at least five holly blues at recuvler

MY GOD WHAT EVER NEXT

things have taken a turn for worst,or i am getting bloody old one thing is getting hooked on butterflys,but NOW enjoying looking at orchids i blame bill and mr hook in the nicest way,yes i did twitch a bee orchid today as i never seen one so it says it all in the title

back up and running so this is my first post on my old site gutted is not the word i would use at the mo,but never mind shit happens move on lol 

 after having a late start i went down to minnis bay meeting barry and john on the way,birds worth noting single sandwich tern grasshopper warbler,and common scoter with a worn eider

 and my first small tortoiseshell  of the year a nice and fresh one
