TIME IT TAKES TIME

after having the 1d for a couple of weeks i suddenly got to grips with it the zoo time was great,but today i think i nailed my flight shots

at one stage i wondered if made the right move from a 60d, but now i think the 1d blows the 60d out of the water,so if anyone thinking of making that leap go for it just takes time

TOWING THE LINE WITH A LITTLE BIRDING

having got away with going birding when ever i want,this one weekend i had to pull the reins in a bit,only a little ok a bloody lot with painting yesterday,and today the zoo which left sod all time few hours here and there only a photo of a juv shelduck

then it was of to the zoo port lympne that is having not been for a long time great day camera did not stop
all photos shot though bars and cages so very please with them

OUT AT LAST AGAIN

not been out this week as the other half had the my car so that means no birding after work gutting,so having my car and a sunny afternoon a nice walk up to castle coote with bugger all on show apart from a tatty herring gull

reaching the castle a beach full of ergets on the high tide i did count them

on the way back nearly tripped over a family of pheasants

as was reach the beach hunts a semi summer plumage grey plover shot past

and landing in the worst place for a shot behind the tall rye grass

starting to get to grips with the 1d a massive leap forward from anything i used before the camera is awesome throw the 7d away and have a punt on a 1d 

200TH PATCH TICK

after seeing the reports of a great white eregt in the valley yesterday ,again a bird which i have missed so often in the past,could this be the species that marks my 200th bird for stodmarsh and grove,well i hope so after recieving a message from marc this morning saying it was still there, i just had finish work and see it and arriving on the ramp just after three and meeting marc who said it was show i just waited and then number 200 popped up

THAT SEAL IT

wander around oare produce very little a single wheatear and i think a grey seal tell me other wise

bumping in to mr hook we spent most of the time chatting and taking photos of wood sand still having a few issues with small stuff but no doubt will get the hang of it

then flagged godwit flew in so few shots rattled of

so good bye 60d the id will be my weapon of choice from now on

I WILL GET THE HANG OF IT

and weekend of not a lot plus trying out a 1d camera so if be a blog of photos as getting my head around the 1d

pleased with what i am getting at the mo so the 60d could be on it way out
