MED GULL

been watching this med gull for the last three months,starting to going into summer plumage so hopefully it will   hang about a bit longer,plenty of black heads,and commons as well





 if was fun watching the black heads hovering above the surf for food

70TH BIRTHDAY BASH

today was my mums 70th birthday so zero birding as my dad had arrange for all of the chidwick clan to go out for a meal at lunch time,so we all desended on to the rose and crown at stelling minnis,as we are only a small family me and my two bruvs and wives and three nephews and of course jackie a very pleasant meal had by all so thanks dad and HAPPY BIRTHDAY mum

after the meal back to mum and dads for cake and nibbles,for once everyone was together which does not happen often enough as it should

GETTING GOOD AT THIS

having a few days off,with jackie being at work i made the most of it,thetford,darford eastbourne,and fixing the car inbetween,today was no different being at grove yesterday and having the tit yet again,i head up the line towards cliffe first bird as i got out the car kingfisher good start headed towards the alpha pool two long tailed ducks worst shot ever,good start for me as was trying for a few photos in raw
so after bagging them it was hunt for a slav no luck again,getting good at this dipping lark,so head for raptor view point at sheppy for the cranes,but saw half a dozen bewicks and three white fronted geese yet again no luck with the cranes, i headed back then a stonechat flew in front of the car and happily sat on a post next to the car

as sitting there a juv swan flew past
then i headed home a few pictures from eastbourne and penduline tit from grove below

BONAPARTES GULL

a frosty start and thick fog made me change my plans, was heading towards the valley thick fog waste of time first so i headed to eastbourne no easier way of getting there, upon arrival at half nine a horrible sight a frozen pond and no gull,so i waited and it turn a hour later had great views and close ones at that  a another lifer for me

PART 2 black bellied dipper

at last gone though my 1000+ photos from the other day and picked out a few that, i thought was ok,most of the shots where under 1/200 of a sec,no tripod as i forgot it,so i was pleased with what i got,i must the only person ends up with a dipper sitting on a crisp packet

THETFORD NORFOLK part1

trip to thetford for the black bellied dipper,with mike and steve still have not done my dipper shots,but highlight for many was the otter which swam up the river,which gave superb views,later on a call from steve saying it got a chicken and munching away,giving great views as it was having lunch,later on it swam back with it catch
