With all the news breaking about natural england and me being a volunteer on stodmarsh and grove nnr,i had make a decision, i wanted to sign the petition, as a lover of birds and wildlife i made the choice so i quit and then signed the petition,i not going to knock anyone as i have enjoyed it,i just think they have has loss there way,and goverment pressure and cuts do not help, enough said have not been posting lately as it has be very quiet i did manged a shot of the montys on saturday
popped down after work to recuvler for a quick walk, seeing plenty of ring plovers on the beach and a female eider which is moulting

i only walked up to cold harbour and seeing a nice yellow wag which sat still long enough for a shot

ONLY WENT FOR A WEE

popped down to grove on monday evening with the rain coming down i went no further then feast hide, watching the swifts and swallows and sandmartins checking all the time for the little jem,as sitting there i was breaking a leg so i shot outside for the called of nature,as i was stand there this bird flew past straight i knew what it was a red rump swallow with this, i just watched it fly up and down, back in the hide still seeing the bird a marsh harrier flew in and ever thing vanished and to make matters worst a hobby flew along as well,so the next 50min i spent hunting high and low to refind but to no avail

A GOOD TERN DESERVE ANOTHER

very quiet in the valley today with only a single garganey showing at harrisons and the grasshopper warbler still in it bush along marsh drove for the third week running with it reeling now and again, marsh hide four canada geese, swans and greylags and the bittern booming from behind the hide, main lake had a influx of terns over nite going up to 15 instead of three, great white egret noted flying high out over hersden indust est,and good number of hobbys, sedges and reeds seem to be still in low numbers, waders seem to have deserted the place full stop.
